Dan Air, a Romanian operator, has announced recently the first non-stop flights from Brasov International Airport (BRV). Romania’s newest airport is set to open in June 2023, and a few charter flights have been announced so far, besides Dan Air’s regular flights to European destinations.

Brasov International Airport’s European Destinations
Starting from June 2023, as soon as the airport opens, Dan Air plans to introduce 8 new destinations for travellers. These are the destinations planned for this year: flights to Milan Linate every Monday, Barcelona every Tuesday, Bruxelles every Wednesday, Nurnberg and Stuttgart every Thursday, London Gatwick every Friday, Munchen every Saturday and Budapest every Tuesday and Sunday.
The airline has announced that if demand is high, the frequency of flights will be increased. All of the flights will be serviced by Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 172 seats, 162 of those being Economy and 12 Business seats. Tickets will be available soon here.

About Dan Air
Dan Air is a Romanian airline founded in 2018 that used to function under the name of Just Us Air. So far, it has operated flights for other airlines, including Air Serbia, Wizz Air and Jazeera Airways or Transavia. The company decided that it will start commencing its own regular flights this year, starting off with flights from Brasov and also introducing some flights from Bucharest to Europe and the Middle East.
More flights are yet to be announced for Brasov International Airport. It is quite likely that low-cost airlines, such as Wizz Air or Ryanair, will start operating flights from Romania’s newest airport. Also, TAROM, Romania’s flag carrier, has announced in the past that it is interested to link up the city of Brasov with other destinations in the country. As always, we will keep you updated as more flights are announced.
