Etihad Airways has introduced its Airbus A350 to the Toronto Pearson Airport route, marking an upgrade to its daily Abu Dhabi-Toronto service. The arrival of the state-of-the-art aircraft on October 27, 2024, brings advanced design and upgraded cabin interiors to enhance the travel experience for passengers flying between Canada and the UAE.

Boston Flights Increase to Daily

In addition to Toronto’s upgrade, Etihad will increase its service to Boston to daily flights starting November 1, 2024, just six months after launching the route. This move reflects growing demand from both corporate and leisure passengers in North America seeking more flexibility and travel options to the UAE, the Gulf region, and beyond.

Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer Arik De said in a statement to Travel Radar:

“We have seen significant demand on our Boston and Toronto routes. This expanding capacity gives our North American travelers greater choice and flexibility when planning trips to the UAE and beyond.”

With the expansion, Etihad now operates 42 flights weekly to North America, including two daily flights to New York JFK and daily services to Chicago, Washington D.C., Toronto, and Boston.

Enhanced Travel Perks and New Growth Plans

Etihad’s U.S.-bound passengers can benefit from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility in Abu Dhabi, allowing them to complete immigration and customs checks before arriving in the U.S. The airline also offers a complimentary stopover program, providing travelers up to two free nights in premium hotels in Abu Dhabi, encouraging extended stays in the UAE’s capital city.

Looking ahead, Etihad has plans for further growth, with additional destinations to be announced by the end of November 2024, reflecting the airline’s ambitions to expand its global network.
