Ethiopian Aviation Academy (EAA) is a top aviation training academy in Africa and UTD Aviation Solutions. It is also a US-based aviator and ASA (Aviation Suppliers Association) accredited firm. EAA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote the Academy jointly in the Americas.
The (MOU) signed at Ethiopian Airlines headquarters, UTD Aviation, will promote information across US and Latin American markets regarding the extensive range of courses of the EAA.
Ethiopian Aviation Academy’s Managing Director, Mesay Shiferaw, said,
“We are glad to have signed this MOU with UTD Aviation and pave the way for future aviators of colour to acquire world-class aviation training. This partnership enables Ethiopian Aviation Academy and UTD Aviation to promote the Academy jointly among the African American community.”
Ethiopian Aviation Academy Aim Of Agreement

The agreement aims to continue the nearly 100-year-old legacy of Col. John C. Robinson, better known as “The Brown Condor” and “Father of the Tuskegee Airmen.” The Brown Condor Initiative (BCI) was established in collaboration with the Ethiopian Aviation Academy to educate under-marketed and underprivileged future black pilots in the United States.
According to Ethiopian airlines, UTD Aviation Solutions President and CEO Dahir Mohammed said,
“We are glad to partner with the largest Aviation training centre in Africa, and UTD recognises the potential of Ethiopian Aviation Academy as a pipeline to address the labour crisis in the US aviation sector”. He added, “We are confident that we can promote the Academy’s training courses in the market we operate, and no doubt the cooperation will soon bear fruits for both continents.”
