Emirates has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) to launch a training programme to enhance the skillset of its Emirati Country Managers.
As part of the Group’s new Commercial Ambassador Leadership Programme, this novel initiative aims to improve the diplomatic abilities of managers working in various regions of the world.
Emirati Country Managers will gain a thorough understanding of the diplomatic skills necessary to represent the Emirates Group abroad and to realize their economic and commercial goals through the AGDA’s 5-day curriculum.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the President of the UAE, Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, and Member of the Board of Trustees at AGDA, along with senior executives and representatives of both organizations, attended a ceremony to celebrate the signing of the MoU at the Emirates Group headquarters.
Amira Al Falasi, Vice President of Human Resources, Learning, and Talent for Emirates Group, and Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of AGDA, signed the MOU.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed said,

Emirates Training Programme Synopsis

The Programme is intended to improve the leadership abilities and efficiency in four key areas of UAE National Country Managers:
- International Protocol and Global Trends
- Media Skills
- People Engagement and Management
- Diplomacy
Program participants are Emiratis who have enrolled in the National Commercial Outstation Programme offered by Emirates Group. To help ambitious and talented Emiratis achieve their full potential as leaders, the Group places them in key positions across the Group’s global markets.
In these positions, they are accountable for advancing business goals and strengthening ties with influential local partners and authorities. In order to strengthen commercial ties between the United Arab Emirates and its local markets, the UAE government actively engages with local communities, public agencies, and private firms.
