Amuthan Chandrarajan 

Aviation Reporter/ Writer- Amuthan has a background in residential and commercial real estate. He also has a keen interest in aviation and travel and has visited many countries. Amuthan has a sound knowledge of business and finance. He has gained a Master of Business Administration and has become a Chartered Management Accountant.

Bernard Lavelle

Contributing Reporter- Bernard Lavelle runs his own independent aviation advisory and consultancy service BL Aviation Consulting, focusing primarily on regional aviation in the UK, Europe and North America where Bernard is increasingly active, working with both airline and airport clients in this region.

Giacomo Amati

Aviation Reporter - Vanni fell in love with commercial aviation during his undergraduate studies in Statistics at the University of Bologna, when he prepared his thesis on the effects of deregulation on the U.S. and European aviation markets. Then he pursued his passion further by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Air Transport Management at Cranfield University in the U.K. followed by holding several management positions at various start-up carriers in Europe (Jet2, SkyEurope, Silverjet). After moving to Canada, he was Business Development Manager for IATA for nine years before turning to his other passion: sports writing.

Assistant Editor- Jonathan is a creative professional with a strong background in Journalism, Aviation and Photography. Jonathan writes about commercial aviation, aerospace engineering, and sustainability. With extensive writing skills and knowledge of general media, Jonathan has worked closely with tech start-ups and digital marketing agencies around Australia and the world.

Katongole Andrew

Aviation Reporter- Katongole is Travel Radar's African based aviation correspondent. With a passion for both bush-flying and larger commercial airlines, Katongole analyses and reports on the latest developments across the African Region, as well as more widely across Europe, the US and Middle East. 

Leo Cheung

Aviation Reporter- Originally from Hong Kong, Leo has decided to expand his horizons to other parts of the world after his studies in Sydney. With 10 years of experience in the field of aviation, Leo is currently working as a First Officer in SE Asia. He hopes to approach the industry from different angles and share his views with readers from around the world through Travel Radar. 

 

 

Michael Cheng

Aviation Reporter- Based in Hong Kong, Michael is an Aviation Journalist here at Travel Radar, covering industry insights across Asia as well as international technical development within the industry. With the solid experience in airline ground operations, Michael is currently a Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Officer with a large ground-operations company. In his spare time, Michael is an avid flight-simulation fan, serving in a senior marketing role for a large multiplayer server. Alongside this, he makes regular appearances at workshops and conferences across the aviation industry.

Senior Editor- Rohan is a computer engineer and an aspiring pilot. Having worked with a myriad of start-up aviation companies, he has a wealth of experience in the aviation industry — whether it being a software developer intern to being a blogger for aviation companies. In addition to his background in aviation, he is also passionate about content writing. Outside of TR, he writes for a start-up company that deals with providing aviation jobs for aviation job seekers. Aside from this, he manages two non-aviation related websites.
