Cebu Pacific Airlines has now extended its flexible booking options until March 31, 2021. As a result, the carrier is offering unlimited rebooking and a travel fund valid for two years.
Restoring Passenger Confidence In Air Travel
Before Covid-19, the Philippines was a destination growing in popularity with worldwide and domestic tourism. However, as there has been a slump in travel demand, the Philippines’ leading airline wants to restore confidence in air travel.
In a recent press release, Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing & Customer Experience said, “We will continue to monitor the operating environment and listen to the concerns of our passengers. We are encouraged by the reopening of domestic tourism and we will do our part in ensuring that our passengers travel with peace of mind. We understand that it may take time before trust and confidence in air travel are restored, that is why we have decided to extend our flexible booking options until the first quarter of 2021.”
Flexible Rebooking and Two-year Travel Fund
Thus, CEB’s passengers now have unlimited rebooking of flights until 31 March 2021. All rebooking and cancellation fees are waived during this time. The full cost of tickets can be put into the two-year travel fund. The fund can be used for flights and to buy add-ons, such as travel insurance, baggage allowance, preferred seating, pre-ordered meals, and hygiene kits.
Passengers with canceled flights have access to the travel fund and unlimited rebooking. They can get a full refund if they choose not to rebook.
Improved Service for Passengers and COVID 19 Compliance
Great service is important to CEB’s strategy. Iyog said, “We will continue to improve our services to provide a seamless and hassle-free experience for everyone. We are accelerating our digitalization efforts in line with our safe and contactless processes under this new normal, so we all feel confident to travel again.”
In line with aviation standards, CEB leads the way with its Covid-19 compliance and multi-layered approach to safety. The airline implemented comprehensive cleaning procedures for passengers and crew. Additionally, Antigen testing has also been rolled out for front line CEB staff.
All CEB aircraft have hospital-grade HEPA filters which have 99.99 per cent success in keeping viruses away. CEB has the chance to restore trust and confidence in air travel, after establishing these measures.
