A stowaway’s body was found in a sound London garden as a Kenya airways flight came in to land.

The flight was coming from Nairobi,Kenya as  KQ100 which is a 6,840km journey and takes approximately 8 hours and 50 minutes of flight time to complete the trek. This isn’t the first time something of this nature has occurred around Heathrow. It is common for stowaway’s to take shelter in the wheel well of aircraft to hide out. This is not only dangerous to the occupant but to the aircraft itself. You the most likely will never make it to the destination of which your traveling to and can possibly damage the landing gear in the process. Same applies to incidents in the cargo compartment.

While authorities are investigating the incident on the cause of death it is believed the individual either did not receive sufficient oxygen, froze, or came in contact with the landing gear and severely injured himself. The identity of the man has not yet been discovered. Either way our condolences go out to the family of the individual involved in this horrific incident.

A bag, water, and food were found in the landing gear compartment after external checks were done when the aircraft pulled on to stand at Heathrow. Nothing in the compartment showed struggle or force to the individual and those were the only items found that evening. The aircraft when checked by maintenance was deemed safe and cleared for its return journey back to Nairobi.

Again it is not advised to seek refuge in the undercarriage be it the landing gear or cargo compartment of any aircraft. It will not end well for anybody who try’s to do so. Once more our condolences go out to the friends and family of the individual involved.
