Astral Aviation’s digital expansion

Astral Aviation, a rapidly growing cargo airline based in Nairobi, Kenya, has announced the adoption of new cloud-based freight management software services FR8Manage – Airline and FR8-Booking, developed by British SaaS company e-Cargoware.

According to Astral Aviation’s founder and CEO Sanjeev Gadhia, the choice of e-Cargoware’s services was made based on the user-friendliness and intuitiveness of the software. Mr Gadhia explains that Astral Aviation’s key focus is to sustain its rapid growth and increase its digital footprint.

“We are very pleased with the applications and the support and proactive interaction we get from the e-Cargoware team. Ramesh Darbha and his team have shown us that e-Cargoware was the right choice for us and the perfect innovative solution provider and ideal software partner,” he said.

E-Cargoware’s software solutions

Founded in 2010, e-Cargoware offers cloud-based digital solutions for airlines, general sales agents, ground handling agents, express operators and freight forwarders, with a vision to “disrupt the cargo industry and replace legacy solutions.”

Their FR8-Booking platform allows shippers and consignees to connect directly with each other and with intermediate stakeholders all on the same platform, with a goal of increasing transparency, while FR8Manage offers a suite of software solutions to help manage cargo operations, such as flight schedule, space allotment, flight tracking, and more. Astral Aviation has been piloting both systems as of September 2022.

“We are delighted to have been given the endorsement and trust from one of the most successful full freighter operations on the market today. E-Cargoware is delighted to play a part in enabling Astral Aviation to realize its mission to be the leading cargo airline in Africa by offering cost-effective, reliable, and efficient air freight solution,” e-Cargoware’s co-founder and CEO Ramesh Darbha commented.
