Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator, have announced the launch of its direct flights from Sharjah to the city of Milan in Italy.

The new direct flights will connect Sharjah International Airport, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with Milan Bergamo Airport with four weekly flights starting from December 7, 2022.

Affordable and value-driven air travel

Air Arabia’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Adel Al Ali, reaffirms that the airlines will continuously offer affordable and value-driven air travel.

Air Arabia operates the Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft, the most modern and best-selling single-aisle aircraft in the world. The cabin configuration across Air Arabia’s fleet provides added comfort with one of the most generous seat-pitch of any economy cabin.

The aircraft is also equipped with “SkyTime”, a free in-flight streaming service that will allow passengers to stream a wide selection of entertainment directly to their devices. Eligible travellers can also benefit from the City Check-in service, where they can drop off their bags and collect their boarding passes at the Air Arabia Sales Shops spread across the UAE.

Its vibrant historical, cultural, and architectural landmarks, as well as extraordinary fashion and culinary scenes, make the Italian city a perfect travel destination. Due to its geographical location, Milan is known as the economic heart of Italy and the leading financial centre. The culturally rich city offers a quaint mix of historical and modern architecture and is famous for its natural beauty, fine sandy beaches, cafés and restaurants serving local food and warm hospitality.

Air Arabia flies to over 170 destinations spread across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe. The airline’s current fleet consists of 52 new Airbus A320 aircraft and 4 Airbus A321 Neo LR.

The airline has signed a lease agreement for six Airbus A321neo LR aircraft with the Los Angeles-based Air Lease Corporation. These additional aircraft will join Air Arabia’s fleet starting in 2019 and will help the airline better serve its existing network as well as enter longer-range routes in the near future.

The A321 is a member of the Airbus industry-leading A320 family, which makes up the current fleet. The Airbus A321neo LR has been further enhanced with its New Engine Option (NEO) jetliner versions and expanded seating capacity with optimised use of cabin space. It is the longest-range single-aisle airliner on the market. Air Arabia’s new (A321neo LR) aircraft will feature 215 seats per aircraft while maintaining Air Arabia’s industry-leading seat pitch that customers currently enjoy.
